VASA Fitness memberships commonly start at $14.99 per month for Basic, $24.99 for Fitness, and $44.99 for STUDIO. These are starting monthly rates, not all-in prices; enrollment/down-payment charges, the $59.99 Rate Guarantee Fee, taxes, and optional services can increase your total cost.

Basic membership is designed for one-club cardio and strength training. Fitness membership adds all-location access and broader amenities. STUDIO membership adds eligible coached classes, including strength training, HIIT, and infrared yoga.

Pricing and policy note: Membership benefits apply at the plan level, but amenities, class formats, schedules, hours, and enrollment offers vary by location. Review the final checkout agreement and your selected club’s page before joining.

What VASA Fitness Really Costs

Your total VASA Fitness cost includes monthly dues, enrollment/down-payment charges, the Rate Guarantee Fee, taxes, and optional services.

Starting-Rate Dues

PlanMonthly Rate12-Month Starting-Rate Dues
Basic membership$14.99$179.88
Fitness membership$24.99$299.88
STUDIO membership$44.99$539.88

Enrollment and Down-Payment Charges

VASA does not use one universal signup charge. Enrollment/down-payment charges can differ by club, plan, and promotion.

For example, a Northbrook location page displays different standard and promotional enrollment structures:

PlanStandard Enrollment/Down PaymentCurrent Promotional Offer
Basic membership$99–
Fitness membership$49$0.99
STUDIO membership$49$0.99

Read More: VASA Fitness

This Northbrook example is not a nationwide VASA price. Two people paying the same monthly rate can have different amounts due when joining because location offers differ.

Rate Guarantee Fee

VASA’s Rate Guarantee Fee is $59.99, plus applicable sales tax. It is charged two months after joining and annually thereafter.

VASA describes the Rate Guarantee Fee as locking in the member’s monthly rate during the membership. Month-to-month membership does not mean fee-free membership.

Starting-Rate Dues Plus Rate Guarantee Fee

Plan12-Month Starting-Rate DuesRate Guarantee FeeTotal Before Enrollment and Tax
Basic membership$179.88$59.99$239.87
Fitness membership$299.88$59.99$359.87
STUDIO membership$539.88$59.99$599.87

These calculations use advertised starting rates. They do not include enrollment/down-payment charges, taxes, KidCare, personal training, or other optional services.

Estimated first-year membership cost = 12 months of dues + enrollment/down-payment charges + Rate Guarantee Fee + taxes + optional services.

Is Upgrading Your VASA Plan Worth It?

Compare the annual price difference, not just the monthly increase.

Basic vs. Fitness

Fitness membership costs $10 more per month than Basic membership at advertised starting rates. That equals $120 more over 12 months before taxes, enrollment/down-payment charges, and other fees.

Fitness membership is worth the additional cost if you use multiple locations, Group Fitness, pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, courts, or recovery amenities. If you only use weights and cardio equipment at one home club, Basic membership offers the lower-cost option.

Fitness vs. STUDIO

STUDIO membership costs $20 more per month than Fitness membership. That equals $240 more over 12 months before taxes and other charges.

STUDIO membership is worth the upgrade for members who regularly attend STUDIO LFT, STUDIO RED, or STUDIO FLOW. Members who mainly use standard gym equipment and only take occasional classes will generally receive better value from Fitness membership.

How to Cancel VASA Fitness

VASA Fitness cancellation generally requires 30 days’ notice. Members can submit a cancellation through the VASA mobile app, Help Center, customer service, or certified mail.

A $25 cancellation fee can apply if you cancel before six months from the start of the Initial Term. Payments due during the notice period and outstanding balances may remain payable.

Save your cancellation confirmation and verify the final billing date.

Freezing a Membership

Consider this before upgrading for a short-term promotion or a class format you may not use consistently.

Who May Not Be a Good Fit for VASA?

VASA may not suit you if you need truly 24-hour access, require an amenity that your nearest club does not offer, dislike busy peak periods, or want to avoid a recurring Rate Guarantee Fee.
